Pokémon Gold & Silver Review

If you liked Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow, this is the game for you. In Pokémon Gold & Silver, there are ten new cities to explore, eight new badges to earn, and a hundred new Pokémon to discover! You can listen to different programs on the radio, such as the Pokédex Show or the Lucky Channel, call your mom or fellow trainers (in the game, of course) on the cell phone, and see where you are on the map--all in one item: the new Pokégear. You can let your Pokémon hold Berries, which are used to recover HP in battles without losing a turn, or you can have Kurt make special Poké Balls out of Apricorns. You can also have your mom save your money for you, so you don't lose as much when you lose a battle! (One dawnside to this: when you've saved up a lot of money, she goes on shopping sprees and gets you either a doll for your room or an item, such as Super Potion). All in all, Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow stand no chance of competing with Pokémon Gold & Silver (except in Pokémon Stadium).

Score: 5!

PS: If you want to know what it's like to actually be the character in Pokémon Gold & Silver, I'm working on a fan-fiction story about it. I'll be posting it chapter by chapter (the prologue will be with Chapter 1). Keep an eye out for it!
